Cetelem, an affiliate of the BNP Paribas Group and a consumer credit corporation, has chosen ALG Software, a provider of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) software and services, to help manage its IT costs. Cetelem provides credit and financial services to consumers and risk management services to major distribution companies. The company decided that it needed greater visibility of technology costs within the organization so that its business units could take responsibility for their own IT use.
An economic interest group, Neuilly Gestion, was set up by Cetelem to manage the organization's IT costs and illustrate which departments were using the IT function more than others. Activity Analysis, from ALG Software's CPM suite, was chosen to help Cetelem realize how much specific IT applications cost the company over a period of time and how changes in service levels, for example, could impact costs.
"The functionalities of Activity Analysis, particularly its usability, as well as capability to merge and integrate inter-models, are what sold us on it. Also, the professionalism of the ALG Software teams really drove it home to us that we had made the right choice," explains Henri-Paul Fruchaud, Director of International Financial Management at Cetelem.
As a result of the deal with Cetelem, Neuilly Gestion will provide the IT departments of the following companies with Activity Analysis from ALG Software to improve and reduce IT costs; Alcanet (Alcatel), Arcelor Technologies, HSBC, Casino Information Technology, Crédit Agricole SILCA, Informatique CDC, La Poste DSI, Natexis ALTAIR, Natexis SIL, Michelin SGI, Société Générale Corporate Investment Banking.
