CXO Solutions, the provider of the CXO-Cockpit Reporting Suite, a web-based analytical solution for Oracle EPM, Hyperion Reporting and Hyperion Analysis platform, says it has extended its reach with the launch of CXO-Cockpit for SAP BPC. The product which was unveiled to FSN last week provides sophisticated yet easy to use analytical capability on top of the Oracle Hyperion platform as well mobile apps for round the clock access. “All our Hyperion based customers already know what added value we deliver to their Hyperion Applications”, says Marcel Vlug CEO of CXO Solutions. “We do not only web-enable Hyperion data in just a couple of days, but by delivering our fully integrated Reporting and Analysis suite, we also shorten the overall Report Cycle of our customers. They therefore save money on their reporting process, delivering information quicker and with more confidence than ever before.”
The timing couldn’t be better for CXO-Cockpit to extend reach beyond Oracle. “We have established our footprint in the financial reporting market by focusing entirely on Hyperion customers for the past 4 years” continues Marcel Vlug. “Our customer base and our organisation have grown steadily over that period and we are now ready to branch out into other markets”.
Wouter Born, COO at CXO Solutions, told FSN the that the technology we use underneath the CXO-Cockpit is exactly the same as the technology of SAP BPC, namely Microsoft technology. “Looking at the current reporting tools on top of SAP BPC we see a similar situation as with Hyperion. We believe that Excel is predominantly the Reporting tool of choice for SAP BPC customers. We are convinced that if BPC customers want mobile and/or web-based highly graphical output, the alternatives are expensive and simply do not add any value”.
“Although SAP BPC customers can try either Business Objects or Xcelsius, we are convinced that neither of these tools will satisfy their financially driven reporting needs,” added Wouter.
CXOSolutions plans to enter the SAP BPC market via specialized SAP BPC partners who have strong relationships with their customers. If they believe that delivering true business value at a reasonable price to their customers is the way forward, then they will clearly understand our value proposition. Furthermore, we will focus our main efforts on those SAP BPC users that are not “wall-to-wall SAP only” customers.
