Infor PM MPC improves financial reporting at James Walker Group

22nd January 2007

James Walker Group, a global manufacturing organisation specialising in materials technology, has gone live on Infor PM MPC, a performance management solution to improve and streamline financial reporting and the integration of financial information. PM MPC will now provide James Walker Group with a centralised, web-based performance management system for users across its fifty global sites.

A single, integrated financial reporting system will provide the ability to monitor budgeting processes using financial modelling and analysis for each of the Group's business departments.

"James Walker Group has experienced tremendous growth over the past several years leading to several disparate ledger systems requiring time intensive, manual re-keying of data," said Nick Low, Group Finance Manager at James Walker Group.  "Infor PM MPC provides us with a single tool eliminating the redundant processes and improving the efficiency of our financial reporting and consolidation."

For James Walker Group, the collection and reporting of financial and sales information involved the manual integration of several, complex spreadsheets, often prone to human error. PM MPC now enables the company to automate this process, removing discrepancies in data and providing real-time budgeting information, leading to accurate and timely reporting.

Chris Harman, Regional Vice President, Infor, comments: "We've already established a great relationship with the team at James Walker due to the combined mutual effort in going live in October 2006.  In an increasingly competitive market place, all businesses need to ensure they have the most accurate and efficient reporting processes in place and this is something we will help the James Walker Group to achieve."
