Infor releases latest version of Performance Management Software
26th November 2007
Infor has announced Infor PM 10, an integrated suite of Performance Management (PM) software that interleaves capability formerly in Extensity MPC and analytics from Systems Union MIS. Christina McKeon, director of product marketing for Infor Performance Management solutions told FSN that leveraging software form both acquisitions will lead to faster performing applications and better web reporting capability as well as other enhancements.

Commenting on the release McKeon told FSN that combining product capability from across the Infor portfolio has enabled the group to considerably enhance its offering. The OLAP engine that formerly ‘sat' in Systems Union, (courtesy of the MIS Alea acquisition) has enabled more voluminous planning and consolidation models to be built using the Extensity performance management solutions (originally GEAC) that will also calculate much faster.

A further improvement has been to integrate Application Studio with the performance management applications to give enhanced web based publishing and reporting capability. Other improvements include ‘impacted consolidations' which just re-calculate aspects of a consolidation model that have been changed (impacted) rather than the whole model. McKeon told FSN this can save 70 percent of the time it used to take with the previous method .

“In today's business environment, it's increasingly difficult for organisations to process, analyze and take action on the avalanche of data that is generated from both inside and outside the enterprise,” added McKeon. “Infor PM 10 is an integrated suite of software that enables businesses to make better decisions, faster, based on accurate and up-to-date data located in a single database. The release of Infor PM 10 demonstrates Infor's commitment to Performance Management and the value we are delivering to customers.”
