Maritz Selects Extensity MPC for enterprise-wide Business Performance Management, BPM
19th June 2006 Extensity (formerly Geac), the financial performance management company has signed a contract with Maritz Inc. for MPC financial performance management software. Maritz will employ MPC's strategy management, planning, budgeting, and reporting capabilities.
Maritz, is in the business of incentive travel, loyalty marketing, integrated performance improvement, and consumer market research services. “In the past, we had disparate systems for our general ledger, pipeline forecast, scorecarding, sales reporting, and strategic planning,” said Gail Hart, divisional vice president of global business support for Maritz. “With MPC's open architecture and single database, we expect to integrate our processes, spending less time reconciling data and more time analyzing it.”
Maritz will exploit MPC's integrated functionality to enable ad hoc sector and financial analysis reporting, major account sales organization (MASO) reporting, and enhanced management of financial statements. MPC's strategy management capabilities will allow managers to set and track strategic goals against execution, and scorecarding with drill-down capabilities will be a feature of the new system as well.
“Extensity's strategy management capabilities were a key differentiator in our selection,” Hart said. “We have a very detailed strategic planning process at Maritz but needed a more robust toolset to support and proactively manage that process. After reviewing what the performance management industry had to offer, we determined that Extensity had the best solution to support our needs.”
Maritz's initial deployment of MPC will encompass its seven domestic business units: Travel, Research, Rewards, Incentives, Learning, Loyalty, and Interactions.
