Rentokil Initial, one of the largest business services companies in the world, has chosen Cognos to provide Business Intelligence (BI) to improve analysis of financial reporting.
The initial roll-out of Cognos 8 BI will enable group, divisional and business unit management to quickly drill down to the relevant information to manage performance. Every decision maker will be reporting off the same data using common business rules to derive metrics.
Previously, Rentokil Initial relied on unwieldy spreadsheets for reporting, however this was slow and difficult to maintain. Cognos 8 BI was chosen for its ease of use, so that staff at all levels will be able to use the system.
Rentokil Initial plans to roll out the business intelligence tool globally to all reporting units, and it and will be used to analyse and share data or best practice information across the group.
