Trintech, a provider of integrated software solutions for the so called, ‘Last Mile of Finance’, has been recognized by the United Kingdom’s HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) as a software provider for its iXBRL capabilities.  As is well known, HMRC has mandated that all UK companies, with a year end after 31 March 2010, are required to file company tax returns online from April 2011.Company Tax Returns include statutory accounts which need to be filed in Inline (iXBRL).

The UNITY XFR solution allows users to prepare, tag, collaborate and publish financial reports within a single application. Trintech says that UNITY XFR provides a single repository for multiple reporting entity filings and ultimately makes the accounts production process more efficient. UNITY XFR, includes collaborative document management and workflow so that preparers of financial statements can distribute, review, and control versions and manage workloads to efficiently prepare statutory accounts.

“We are pleased to have gained HMRC recognition for Trintech’s UNITY XFR solution and to have Trintech added to the list of iXBRL-recognized software vendors,” said Paul Byrne, Trintech CEO.  “This is a great milestone, further demonstrating our ongoing commitment to XBRL adoption efforts world-wide.”

Tony Bethell, VP EMEA, Trintech said, “iXBRL compliance for statutory accounts can be complicated, expensive and time consuming especially when companies have the need to report multiple accounts.
