XLCubed, the provider for Excel based multidimensional reporting and analytics, says that it will integrate sophisticated visualization techniques into its software following its recent acquisition of BonaVista Systems. The German-based software company produces MicroCharts, graphics that are the size of mere words, to create informative reports and dashboards with maximum rich information per square inch.

This clear and simple presentation method helps business professionals quickly zoom in on positive developments, potential trouble and other trends in their data so that they can ultimately make better business decisions.

"Since today's business professionals need to absorb more information in less time, they have very high expectations on their reports and dashboards." explains Mark Scanlon, founder and CEO of XLCubed. "Receiving accurate, timely information, however, is not enough. Business professionals need to understand information in its proper context. By integrating MicroCharts into XLCubed, companies can create intuitive, interactive reports and dashboards that deliver the right information with rich context down to the right level of detail for maximum insight."

Andreas Lipphardt, Director of Development and Design at BonaVista Systems, will become Director of Product Management for XLCubed Ltd. Lipphardt sees great potential for both current and future customers. "Many of our mutual customers have already integrated MicroCharts into their XLCubed reports and dashboards. XLCubed Web Edition allows us to publish dynamic dashboards through a one click interface so that dashboard consumers can view and interact with the dashboard through a thin client web browser easing customer deployment." he comments. "I am looking forward to further developing the MicroCharts product set in addition to the XLCubed integration such that we can help business users create better charts and dashboards and guide them in the process of day-to-day analytics so that they can fully leverage the potential of effective data visualization. "

With respect to Bonavista's current customer base, Mike Stephens, COO of XLCubed, Irvine , CA , stated "We welcome the 500+ existing Bonavista customers of MicroCharts many of whom are based in the US . Our local presence will help them get the maximum benefit from our combined solution capabilities. I have seen many impressive MicroChart customer dashboards and linking them directly to the data through XLCubed will create an interactive experience that clearly will bring significant business benefit."
