5th December 2005 UnumProvident, the disability insurer, has implemented the ASG-Cypress document management software throughout the UK . The contract is for a 250-user licence.
Having made several key acquisitions, UnumProvident needed to solve the problem of having a corporate infrastructure that was using various output systems, all of which accepted varying file formats. Richard Dace, UnumProvident's Technical Support Group Manager, identified the need to implement a system with one single unified output format and ASG-Cypress met all of Dace's criteria.
ASG-Cypress can capture and store any document regardless of the format, application, or environment in which it was created. Dace continues, "I have been very impressed by the flexibility of the ASG-Cypress product in terms of what you can output. For example, we have received a great deal of interest from brokers who are keen to receive quotes electronically, and now we have the ability to easily achieve this. In addition, we have been able to achieve significant time savings by being able to output in a single unified format, which allows us to search on and retrieve any quote we have produced quickly and easily."
