North Fork Bank selects AXS-one for records compliance management
5th December 2005 AXS-One Inc. the provider of records compliance management software has announced a major win with North Fork Bancorp, the 16 th largest bank holding company in the U.S. The deal, resulting from AXS-One's partnership with Sun StorageTek calls for AXS-One to provide a comprehensive information lifecycle management, records compliance and legal discovery solution to North Fork Bank.
"Our goal in this project is to address a broad range of issues associated with electronic data, from traditional content management to e-mail compliance and corporate governance," said Amir Saeed, vice president of network applications, North Fork Bank. "The AXS-One technology we'll be implementing not only meets all those requirements but also delivers a comprehensive return on investment and quantifiably provides great value."
While the full package of software and services is designed to help North Fork Bank effectively manage all content types, it specifically enables optimal efficiencies in two critical areas: meeting industry regulations and compliance standards, and minimising the costs and effort involved in legal discovery matters. North Fork Bank's implementation plan, which includes both AXS-One Compliance Platform 3.5 with Rapid-AXS and AXS-One Retention Manager, aims to address challenges involved in putting legal holds on business records that are part of litigation efforts, better manage costs associated with growing volumes of e-mail and manage the lifecycle of electronic records.
Sun Microsystems currently licenses the AXS-One Compliance Platform and integrates it as a key component of the Sun Compliance and Content Management Solution, a customer-ready system built around Sun's portfolio of storage and compliance products, its client solutions organisation and the Solaris Operating System. Sun Microsystems has worked closely with AXS-One on a range of features and functionality to ensure that the full offering seamlessly provides existing and future customers with a single, scalable framework that can archive and manage all electronic records, including e-mail, while addressing storage, compliance, and content management challenges.
