Symmetry and Version One partner to offer paperless accounting
5th March 2007 Symmetry, a provider of financial management software has partnered with electronic document management and imaging author, Version One, to add new functionality to its bluQube financial management software. The new arrangement will enable Symmetry's customers to overcome the problems of duplicating, storing and retrieving paper-based financial documents, such as purchase invoices, by allowing users to easily access electronic copies via their central accounting system.
Managing Director at Symmetry Simon Kearsley comments on the new partnership, "Through the partnership with Version One we can provide customers with a functionally-rich and extremely flexible document management and imaging system for the electronic storage of incoming and outgoing business documents. A large majority of our existing customers have already shown interest in Version One's technology which will eliminate lost and misfiled documents, improve efficiency and cut costs and storage space."
This new agreement will enable Symmetry customers to access Version One's DbArchive storage system directly from bluQube, providing cost savings from eliminating photocopying and cutting stationery and document storage facilities.
Tony Bray, Director of Version One says, "We're delighted that Symmetry's customers can now enjoy the many benefits of electronically storing all their financial documents. With Version One's DbArchive tightly integrated into bluQube, electronic documents can be accessed directly from the accounting system, making considerable cost and efficiency savings. With workers still wasting up to 40% of their time searching for documents manually and with the average document getting photocopied up to twenty times during its lifecycle, the case for investing in Version One's electronic document management functionality has never been so compelling!"
