20th February 2006 Agresso, the financials software house, is to use its strong presence in the government sector as a springboard to launch its activities in the US . It has agreed that Hansen Information Technologies, will distribute the AGRESSO Suite of ERP Software to local, state and federal governments in the United States . Hansen will embed Agresso in its government software, Hansen 8.0 and market AGRESSO under the label ‘Hansen Financials powered by Agresso'.
There are some very strong synergies between the two companies. Agresso is a leading supplier of government software solutions in Europe, with over 1,250 government customers worldwide, including the capital cities of Sweden , Norway and the UK House of Commons. Hansen is recognised as having real expertise in state and local government in the US and Australia.
The integrated Hansen/Agresso system includes Core Financials, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Procurement, Human Resources, Payroll, Project and Grant Tracking, Work Orders and Job Costing modules along with system wide workflow, reporting and business process components. Hansen's government-centric products include: Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), particularly to meet GASB 34 requirements, Building Permit, Business Licensing, Business Intelligence, Citizen Relationship Management (CRM), Code Enforcement, GIS, Property Tax, Timesheet Reporting, Transportation, Utility Billing, and Web Portal applications.
Agresso recently won its largest ever contract when DFID, the Department for International Development, in the UK appointed Agresso as the lead implementation partner for the £11 million ARIES project to replace its activities reporting and e-information system.
Agresso says that its launch into the U.S. market via government is expected to be followed by other key vertical markets during 2006.
