Agresso strikes pricing deal with public sector

Agresso, the supplier of financial and business management systems, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with OGCbuyingsolutions, the trading arm of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), offering all public sector organisations discounts on Agresso Business World software and services. The preferential pricing agreement is designed to maximise value for money for the public sector through guaranteed, beneficial cost pricing covering licences, service and support.

Agresso Business World is a suite of fully integrated modules encompassing financials, procure to pay, project accounting, human resources and payroll. The pricing agreement applies both to new Agresso public sector customers and to existing ones migrating to the latest system release, Agresso Business World 5.5.

As part of the MoU, Agresso has restructured its pricing model to offer unrestricted user site licenses rather than basing it on named users.  The organisation's unrestricted access also extends to allowing external self-service access to Agresso Business World for its suppliers and customers. In addition, the MoU encompasses a shared service provision that applies both to new customers setting up within a shared service and to existing Agresso customers migrating into a shared service.  This approach embraces 'One Account Government' incorporating increasing annual revenue savings, so that as more organisations join up they all share the reduced annual percentage charge.

Agresso has wide ranging expertise in the public sector, with nearly 500 customers of all sizes in central and local government, further and higher education, the NHS and the emergency services. Anwen Robinson, Agresso's government business director, said:  “Agresso has built up a very strong customer base in the public sector and this wide ranging pricing agreement recognises that.
