Renewable Energy Systems (RES), the rapidly growing wind energy group, has signed a £400,000 contract to implement Agresso's financial and business management system.RES is replacing a number of disparate legacy systems with the fully integrated financial, project, procurement and reporting modules of Agresso Business World. Agresso will be implemented throughout the group with go live in May 2007.
Agresso's strong project management functionality and experience, as well as its multi-lingual and multi-currency capabilities were also factors in RES' choice of the system over rival offerings. The system's proven post implementation agility, which allows it to be adapted and extended in line with the customer's changing structures, processes and requirements, was also critical.
Dominic Keating, RES' Group Financial Controller, said: "RES has expanded rapidly over the last few years and we require a system which will support our future growth. We are also looking for a flexible solution that will enable us to add additional functionality and roll out to new markets in the future. Agresso was head and shoulders above its peers in that respect."He continued: "Agresso will give us the tools to standardise processes, controls and reporting across the group. We expect the system to provide RES' management with quality information in a timely and user-friendly way. By giving our users easy access to their own data, we will free up finance staff to focus on more value added activities."
Keating added: "Agresso is an innovative company that is used to working with dynamic and rapidly evolving businesses like ours, so we felt comfortable that the organisation and its people, as well as the system, were a good fit. We've been very impressed so far."
Other major project-based customers of Agresso include Halcrow, Buro Happold, NUKEM, DTZ, WSP Group, Smiths Group, Steer Davies Gleave and Erinaceous.
