COA Solutions acquires eProcurement specialist Belmin   17th March 2008 COA Solutions Ltd. (formerly CedarOpenAccounts) has acquired UK eProcurement solutions and services specialist, Belmin Group Ltd. Belmin's software is used by 100,000 users across a range of public sector organisations. This includes over seventy-five NHS hospitals, enabling COA Solutions to develop an even closer relationship with the UK health sector. Belmin's eProcurement software will enhance COA Solutions' Smart Business Suite, which comprises a portfolio of finance, human resource, payroll, procurement, business intelligence and document management solutions. Mark Thompson, COA Solutions' managing director says, “We're very pleased about this acquisition. We're always looking to add value to our sector-focused software and services and with Belmin's best of breed procurement solutions together with its extensive knowledge and experience of the healthcare sector, the company is a perfect fit.” The acquisition, COA Solutions' eighth in five years, will provide the company's customers and prospects with market-leading eProcurement products that deliver efficiency savings across the entire procurement cycle. As a result of more efficient paperless procurement and price reductions through improved contracting, users of Belmin's products can benefit from millions of pounds of cost savings. Richard Price, Belmin's managing director comments, “Belmin will gain from being part of the financially strong COA Solutions group. Existing and prospective Belmin customers will also benefit from COA Solutions' in-depth knowledge and understanding of the UK business software market and UK services sector.” Belmin will continue to operate from its Bridgwater offices and will continue to support existing customers. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
