CODA announces first Benelux customer live on Neon finance system
17th March 2008 CODA Group, the finance software specialist, says that Saxion Hogescholen has successfully gone live on its latest accounting software release, Neon. Released in September 2007, Neon is the largest and most significant product release in CODA's history, representing a £15m investment in new and enhanced products and almost 300 man-years of research, development and testing time.
Saxion Hogescholen is the first customer in Benelux to go live on the software following customers in other geographies, having agreed to be part of the CODA beta programme. The organisation has gone live on Financials and Invoice Matching with further projects planned this year around Purchasing and Workflow.
Saxion Hogescholen is one of the largest Universities for Applied Sciences in the eastern part of the Netherlands . It has an international student population of 2,000 and a total student population of around 20,000.
“During the evaluation process, we felt that Neon was the best solution to meet our business requirements as its design and functionality mapped to our purchasing and accounting processes well,” said Ton ten Voorde, Financial Director Saxion Hogescholen. “We are confident Neon will help us to streamline processes and make them more efficient.”
The key applications integrate with Microsoft Office. CODA's invoice matching engine enables users to match high volumes of invoices or credit notes received from a supplier to goods received notes, return documents or orders directly. This increases efficiency and consistency throughout the process.
When it goes live, the Procure-to-Pay application will enable the University to provide access to the system to non-finance users. Neon encourages widespread adoption across the organisation so users can raise an order from Outlook without opening a separate finance application, and the information is securely stored in the system.
