CODA announces strong 2005 performance and results
27th March 2006 CODA Group, the finance systems specialist has announced strong annual results and out performed many other software developers. Operating profit, turnover and operating profit margin were all at record levels; with revenue 9.9 % ahead at £47.6m;operating profits (before goodwill amortisation of £2.5m) increased by 30.1% to £9.5m topped by its fifth Accountancy Age Award in five years.
CODA achieved growth both organically and through acquisition. The company acquired operations in five countries, adding direct sales offices in France , Germany , Hungary and Sweden and a research and development centre in Estonia . The acquisitions also brought new products; the financial consolidation system OCRA, and SOCET, now renamed and launched as CODA-Control Assessor. This forms part of the CODA-Control suite.
Partnerships with technology organisations, such as Microsoft and IBM were also extended and developed. Every CODA country territory achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status in its own right. However, Group Chairman was cautious. He said, "The quality of the CODA offerings and the focus of its market strategy lead to positive expectations for the business in 2006. However market conditions remain challenging, and despite record results last year, CODA will be re-doubling its efforts to ensure that the successes in 2005 continue through into 2006."
