Gresham launches Clareti Mobile Banking for corporate treasurers
7th May 2007
Gresham Computing plc, has unveiled an extension to its Clareti Connect mobile banking solution which enables banks to securely deliver account data in real-time directly to their corporate customers' mobile devices. In addition to creating a new channel for banks to service their clients, the solution also offers real-time payment alerts to help corporate treasurers manage their cash flow positions.

Gresham says the new module is designed specifically for mobile devices. Customers can set real-time alerts to be notified when large payments are received into their accounts or for deadlines on amounts payable. Alerts can also be set for when a payment leaves a corporate's system or arrives at their counterparty.

By providing real-time account information to corporate customers' mobile devices, Clareti Connect mobile banking provides treasury departments with a timely and accurate view of their cash positions. Payments or even files of payments can now be securely approved, critical payments searched and account balances monitored while working away from the office. Hyperlinks to the bank's cash management products also make it possible to view global cash positions.

In addition, real-time alerts about transactions on corporate accounts help to protect companies from employee misuse of corporate banking facilities. Suspicious transactions can be detected early and prompt action taken to substantially reduce the losses a firm incurs.

"Having a real-time view of accounts receivable and payable wherever you are in the world makes you a much stronger player in the capital markets. This is why large corporates in particular are starting to demand mobile-delivery of payments information," explains Rob Glenn, group sales and marketing director of Gresham Computing. "If you can send an electronic message from one side of the world to the other in an instant, corporates are realising there is no reason why their bank cannot keep them informed, wherever they are in the world. Armed with this information anywhere, anytime, a company can significantly increase its earning potential."
