Infor, has announced a strategic partnership with Oak Barrel Software, LLC, a company that offers process manufacturing and product lifecycle solutions, to enhance Infor10 PLM Process (Optiva) with additional modules for supplier collaboration, product specification, document management, and recipe building. Infor says these enhancements will enable improved supply chain collaboration and document management capabilities to speed time-to-market and to help ensure greater accuracy of product development across the supply chain.

Enhanced Modules delivered by Infor and Oak Barrel Software, have been designed to help process manufacturers work more closely with suppliers to help them meet specifications, audit compliance, and certification for product requirements such as REACH Compliance Certifications and food requirements, reducing the likelihood of a recall and decreasing compliance issues. They also enables process manufacturers to provide new product specifications quickly across the entire supply chain, enabling greater customer collaboration and an efficient way for Sales and Marketing departments to generate and input new ideas for Product Development.
Batch manufacturing industries also benefit as they can create recipes that are S-88 compliant. Recipes can be sent directly to MES systems in the plant for manufacture. Additionally, the software allows for process visualisation of the recipe steps and can integrate directly with MES Systems in the plant for manufacturing.
