12th May 2008
Maconomy Sweden has signed a major deal with Semcon Group, a listed global technology development company with around 3,700 employees and annual sales of approximately SEK 3.3 billion. The deal includes a Maconomy Consulting Solution for 2,500 users in Sweden with a number of add-on modules.

Semcon Group decided to implement Maconomy's ERP solution in the Swedish organisation to optimise its resources and streamline its business processes. Semcon Group's new Maconomy solution is based on a number of standard modules and the HR and Electronic Invoice Management add-on modules. Additionally, Semcon Group purchased Maconomy's Business Intelligence solution Maconomy AnalytiX and the resource management tool People Planner.

People Planner will give Semcon Group a full overview of the resource capacity of the organisation and advanced resource assignment capabilities for large as well as small projects. Semcon Group will start using the implemented Maconomy solution on January 1, 2009.

“This solution will help us realise major improvements that support our internal and business processes. We are very excited and really look forward to the implementation project,” says Group Business Controller Thomas Andrén, Semcon Group.

“The deal with Semcon Group proves that we are firmly positioned to help large corporations within our key customer segment ‘Professional Services Organisations' optimise their workflows and support their continued growth internationally. Semcon Group is a household name in the Swedish engineering consulting industry and would not settle for anything less than the ideal ERP solution for their specific requirements,” says CEO Hugo Dorph, Maconomy.
