Polestar chooses on-demand eProcurement from Wax Digital

14th October 2007

European printing company Polestar has chosen to implement an on-demand eProcurement system from Wax Digital to improve spend compliance by giving those employees a means to easily find and order indirect spend items covering all goods and services from the right suppliers at the right prices.

Polestar will use the system to support its 11 operating sites across the UK . The company, which employs around 4,000 people and prints publications such as Hello, the Radio Times, Grazia and Red, will use Wax Digital system to deliver an online portal that will allow Polestar employees to browse and search across both hosted and remote supplier catalogues using an intuitive web interface.

"Every step of the purchasing process, from approvals, to goods receipting and electronic invoicing is handled by the solution to create a streamlined process for ensuring compliance throughout the purchasing lifecycle and deliver a rapid return on investment," said Daniel Ball, director, Wax Digital.

One of the key factors in vendor selection for Polestar was the need to integrate closely with the company's existing financial and stock management systems, and to accommodate a number of bespoke business processes. Wax Digital's unparalleled integration expertise and 'No Compromise' promise of a highly flexible product architecture were therefore instrumental in Polestar's vendor choice.

"It was important for us to find an on-demand vendor that could deliver against our specific requirements and integrate closely with our back office - Wax Digital was the clear front-runner on both counts," said Matt Clark, Business Systems Manager at Polestar.
