Rosslyn Analytics – introduces free spend analytics platform in the cloud

28th April 2010

Spend analysis specialist Rosslyn Analytics has launched a new suite of prebuilt applications intended to accelerate decision-making for everyone within an enterprise using what it says is the world’s first free self service spend analytics platform, Rapidintel.

Speaking to FSN, Rosslyn’s Lance Mercereau explained that the solution had been designed to help companies gather and analyse all of their expenditure in one place and make it available to the whole enterprise.  “In our experience companies have expenditure information in disparate systems and find it difficult to get complete oversight of all of their spending in one place.  We have the capability to grab that information from a variety of data sources and analyse it,” he said.

“The other big difference is that we believe that this information should be widely available across the business rather than being confined to say the group purchasing function,” added Mercereau.

“The days of spending money to save money are over,” said Charles Clark , CEO of Rosslyn Analytics. “Rosslyn Analytics is committed to giving all employees affordable, intuitive tools to analyze spend.”

Clark said that Rapidintel self service offers a way for business users to identify and manage cost savings, manage supplier risks and enhance compliance in minutes “thanks to the power of cloud computing.”

The self-service version of Rapidintel, allows users to employ a definable Excel document to upload their company’s data into Rosslyn’s cloud based platform, which automatically generates “slice and dice” analytical reports. Drill-down reporting capabilities offered for free include the ability to conduct analysis of all spend (at supplier level) using multiple dimensions, monitor supplier activity over a given period of time, such as volume of transactions, prioritise and monitor suppliers (preferred versus non-preferred) and Identify and eliminate duplicate payments.
