Saudi Printing and Packaging Company (SPPC) has invested in Infor’s ERP LN enterprise resource planning solution. Infor ERP LN aims to improve operational excellence across SPPC’s three major printing factories and increase the visibility and accuracy of data across its supply chain.

Infor ERP LN will provide visibility of SPPC’s operations across its three major companies in the city of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam, which are responsible for printing the Kingdom’s most popular newspaper and magazine titles, as well as flexible packaging and commercial labels.

It will integrate data across SPPC’s supply chain – from the raw materials to the completed printed product or label. This will increase SPPC’s control over its supply chain and help improve accuracy, enabling sharper information to make better decisions.  Finally Infor syas that the new system will help SPPC improve visibility, traceability and connectivity within the sales, procurement and finance departments. Once the application is implemented, the sales team will be able to automatically process orders and follow up on status as well as check inventory, location and lot control, instead of its previous manual system of telephone and email follow ups.

Infor’s channel partner, Comm-IT, is working with Infor and SPPC to configure the application and provide consultancy support and training.

“With our heavy printing and packaging operations we required a solution that would integrate data across our major activities and plug in the holes in our old manual systems,” said Saad Al Azwari, the chief executive officer (CEO) of Saudi Printing and Packaging Company, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. “We chose Infor ERP LN as we found that taking into consideration operational effectiveness, costs and man power requirements, Infor and Comm-IT looks to be the best fit for us,” added Noalur Rahim, IT support manager of SPPC from the port city of Jeddah.
