| Trust-wide e-Rostering solution for Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust | |
| 18th February 2008 Gateshead Health NHS Foundation Trust has signed a contract with a view to implementing SMART's eHL workforce management solution trust-wide to remove manual timesheets, improve payroll accuracy and rostering. The 3500-employee trust is the first NHS trust to make the commitment for a complete time & attendance and electronic rostering solution across all staff groups. The web-based system will be used with biometric hand readers to ensure accurate recording of working hours. Tristan Spencer, Director Health Market at SMART is delighted with their decision to go trust-wide and says, “This is a huge leap forward for NHS trusts and shows commitment to accuracy, fairness and transparency regarding NHS working hours.
