Bosch Holdings Group, South Africa’s leading engineering and services group based in Durban, has purchased Agresso Business World Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to manage operations across three diverse business divisions. The contract, signed with UNIT4 distributor Exponant, is worth more than €250,000 in software and services.
Agresso Business World is a fully integrated role-focused ERP system, ideal for service or people based organisations that need financial accounting and other back office software integrated with a broader range of core business functions in a single unified system. Bosch Holdings has purchased Agresso modules covering financials, project costing and billing, procurement, human resources and planning.
“The diverse nature of the Bosch business along with our ambitious growth plans in location, products and services requires the support of excellent systems, but our old system lacked the depth of functionality and technical innovation to deliver value,” said Beverly Lunn, Financial Manager for Special Projects for Bosch Holdings. “Agresso is designed to accommodate significant business change and will support us as we grow and diversify in the future. Along with organisational change, we are subject to on-going legislative change within the sectors in which we operate, and required a system that would allow us to accommodate new mandates as they are introduced. We are confident we will be able to do that now across our different business divisions from a single system.”
