3M helps hide your work from prying eyes

6th March 2006

You have just rushed to the airport from a meeting and are busy reviewing some important financial results or sensitive presentations on your laptop. The airport lounge is full of consultants, competitors and others who are peering over your shoulder to get a glimpse of what you are reading. It's a familiar scenario to us at FSN so we thought you would like to read about a privacy filter launched by the 3M company. The filters work by shielding confidential or personal on-screen data from prying eyes.

The privacy filters utilise 3M's micro-louvre privacy technology which works like tiny vertical blinds to narrow the viewing angle so that only people directly in front of the monitor are able to see on-screen images and text.

Anyone positioned to the side will see a blacked out screen. 3M says that the filters provide complete protection with no blurring or image distortion, they also act as a safeguard from scratches, and stay in position even when the laptop is closed.
