According to preliminary results from the latest Oracle EPM customer information panel (CIP) study, 92 percent of respondents are receiving "significant" benefits from using Oracle Hyperion Planning—with 57 percent seeing benefits less than two months after implementation.
Key findings include a 17 percent reduction in the time spent on annual planning and budgeting processes together with a 31 percent reduction in the number of iterations necessary to complete annual planning and budgeting.
Other benefits reprted were a 14 percent increase in forecast accuracy, from 69 percent accurate to 83 percent accurate and a 31 percent decrease in time required to gather data. The overall time savings led to an 87 percent increase in the time spent analyzing dataIn the first phase of the study, responses from 45 organizations of all sizes and across industries, indicate a clear and consistent set of results from implementing Oracle Hyperion Planning. Phase 2 of the study will expand the scope of the study significantly, with results expected sometime in calendar year Q2 2012.
