30th April 2015

BlackLine has annunced a global contract with leading international insurer RSA. More than 500 of RSA’s employees across the world will use BlackLine’s cloud-based Finance Controls and Automation Platform to automate their balance sheet Reconciliations, increasing productivity and mitigating risk in the company’s Finance and Accounting teams.

Dominic Willis, manager of RSA’s Group Finance Systems, comments: “When looking for a new system, we wanted a more efficient, configurable and collaborative solution that could be used globally. We took this opportunity to look for a cloud –based solution that would bring all the RSA offices together on a consistent global platform and were delighted when we found that the BlackLine module could meet all our requirements. The Account Reconciliation module was implemented with minimal resources and those using the tool find it much faster and intuitive, and the interface is very user friendly”.

BlackLine was selected following a recommendation by Gartner on which vendors should be included in the selection process. Following a thorough screening process and trials of the software with two other suppliers, BlackLine was selected unanimously by RSA’s Financial Controllers for its ease of use and intuitive interface, and for the free on-demand training available to all users.

Mario Spanicciati, EVP of BlackLine EMEA, said, “RSA is a prestigious global brand, and we are proud to be working with them to help serve their modern finance function and achieve their financial goals”.

BlackLine was recently listed by Gartner as a ‘Best-of-Breed’ provider for Enhanced Finance Controls and Automation (EFCA) Software – a renamed category formerly called Close/Reconciliation Management by the global technology industry research leader.
