UNIT4 Business Software Ltd, the UK division of UNIT4, the ERP provider, has joined The Prince’s Mayday Network, a group of businesses whose aim is to share experiences and lead the transformation towards a sustainable future.
Created in the United Kingdom by HRH, The Prince of Wales in 2007, The Prince’s Mayday Network aims to inspire, engage, support and challenge businesses to work together towards a sustainable future. This is achieved through activities such as workshops, webinars and other events run by industry and environmental leaders to give Mayday businesses a head start in tackling their carbon footprints and other environmental impacts.
The move follows UNIT4’s recent launch of Sustain4, an environmental performance management solution Developed in partnership with environmental impact specialists, Trucost, it makes use of their database and model to rapidly assess and benchmark an organisation’s environmental impacts based on what UNIT4 says is readily available financial and business data potentially by-passing months of research normally required for such analysis.“The pressure to adopt green business practices will only increase as the evidence for supporting adoption mounts up,” said Anwen Robinson, Managing Director of UNIT4 Business Software. “For the sake of the environment and to comply with initiatives like the Carbon Reduction Commitment, companies must act now. We fully support the values and aims of The Prince’s Mayday Network and are looking forward to contributing to Network initiatives. We can use our experiences from the business scenarios we see every day to engage with organisations, and further the Network’s cause.”
