Guascor Fotón, a specialist in the sale, manufacture and installation of photovoltaic concentration solar systems, has implemented Infor ERP LN as an integrated management system to manage complex project-based operations
Guascor needed a new IT solution to support exceptional growth in sales and transaction volumes and its increases in personnel, from 20 to 100 in just a few months. Before implementing Infor’s ERP LN solution, the majority of daily transactions were managed through Office applications and third party accounting software.
A key objective of Infor’s ERP implementation was to support the whole supply chain from purchases, sales and stock management to quality control. It was also important to establish better manufacturing management, including planning, production control and engineering processes. The Infor financial application needed to be capable of handling all accounts and cost control as well as integrating the company’s accounting data with that of its parent company, the Guascor Group.
Infor ERP LN has already been successfully deployed in the finance and purchasing departments following testing and extensive user training sessions. The second stage of the LN deployment included a roll out to the department responsible for managing the company’s solar park projects and also Guascor’s technical assistance service unit.
“Infor ERP LN has allowed us to merge our data into a single centralised information system, at the same time that we were defining and establishing our business processes,” states Ioseba Iribar, systems manager, Guascor group. “We have gained greater business visibility, document management functionality and business intelligence. All this will contribute to helping us achieve our goal of leading the European photovoltaic concentration system market.”
