Variel, a Czech manufacturer in the metal, plastics and fiberglass industries, has chosen Infor ERP SyteLine to improve productivity and process efficiency. Variel, which has been in business for over 40 years, expects to reduce inventory by up to 50% and substantially improve on-time delivery performance to better serve its customers. The implementation will be completed by ITeuro, a local Infor implementation partner.
Variel will deploy Infor ERP SyteLine software across all business area in the company including financial management, planning, procurement, sales and manufacturing. Its existing system had become insufficient to support growing business requirements, preserved old ways of management and lacked the necessary tools for continuous improvement. This resulted in time and material waste, problems in meeting promised delivery dates, and decreased productivity and profitability.
Variel expects a 20–50% reduction in inventory costs and improved customer service as a result of SyteLine’s ERP functionality and supply chain benefits from the planning and scheduling (APS) module. The company expects that access to real-time data will drive faster and higher quality information for improved decision making.
