Dutch Caribbean insurer purchases Coda financial management software solution from UNIT4.

18th April 2013

ENNIA Caribe Holding, the largest local insurer in the Dutch Caribbean has purchased a Coda financial management software solution from UNIT4. With clients in most countries around the world, this is the first time UNIT4 has set foot on Caribbean soil in the history of the company. Presently, ENNIA employs more than 200 Associates divided among the offices of the Dutch Caribbean islands of Curacao, Aruba, Bonaire and St. Maarten.

The company required a finance system that could provide a solid financial backbone in a fast-changing, mixed application environment. Coda is expected to give real-time financial visibility and control across the company’s people, processes and systems and will accommodate insurance industry regulatory changes and organisational change.

Coda is already used by 200 insurance companies worldwide and ENNIA was impressed by its proven track record. “This year marks ENNIA’s 65th birthday,” says Ryan Breedijk, CFO of ENNIA Caribe Holding N.V. “The industry faces change on an extraordinary scale and as it moves forward, we must seek ways to improve profitability, while at the same time balancing the demands of regulatory change. We wanted a finance system that would support our aggressive expansion plans over the next ten to fifteen years and expect Coda Financials to play an important part in the development of the company.”

ENNIA expects to be up and running on the system by the end of October.
