Exact, the provider of ERP and business software, is introducing “Exact Synergy” for iPhone and iPad. The app includes functionality around CRM, HRM and workflow, and is available on the App Store free of charge for all Exact Synergy users. Exact Synergy for iPhone and iPad automatically offers the same functionality a user has in Exact Synergy ASP or Exact Synergy Enterprise.
“With Exact Synergy for iPhone and iPad we have achieved the next milestone in our mobility approach. It’s our goal to support our customers’ daily business activities anywhere and anytime, while simplifying the involved processes. By enabling them to, for instance, submit timesheets or process expense claims on their iPhones or iPads, Exact Synergy for iPhone and iPad minimises the administrative burden that is normally related to these activities”, says Martijn Janmaat, CEO at Exact. “In the near future we will further expand our mobile reach with dedicated applications for the Android platform. We are fully engaged to enable as many customers as possible to benefit from the advantages our apps have to offer.”
The CRM feature of Exact Synergy for iPhone and iPad contains all functional data of leads, prospects, customers, partners and suppliers and can be used to locate their office and directly create a route description via Google Maps. HR features include finding the personal data of employees and co-workers, sharing calendars and creating holiday requests. This last feature provides a real-time overview of the available number of holidays for every user and allows them to issue a holiday request. The request appears in the workflow of the manager. Because the workflow can also be consulted from within the app, processes will no longer be delayed if any of the involved employees are out in the field, without access to a computer.
Exact Synergy for iPhone and iPad can also prefill timesheets if a user has to submit these on a regular basis. All the user has to do is check if the prefilled hour registration, based on initial planning, is indeed correct. If so, a single tap books the hours into the system. If planning has changed, the fields can easily be adjusted. Another time-saving feature concerns expenses; the iPhone or iPad can be used to take a picture of a receipt which can directly be linked to a project. Once booked, the responsible manager receives a notification in his workflow to approve or reject the expense claim.
