Pegasus Software, the supplier of accounting and business software to SMEs has announced the launch of PegasusHR, an on demand virtual HR department for SMEs. The service is free to all Pegasus customers with a current Annual Maintenance Contract, as well as being available as a stand-alone service.
PegasusHR comprises a website containing downloadable legally compliant HR letters, employee handbooks, policies, advice and FAQs. The material covers issues such as recruitment, discipline and appraisal. There is also an option to ask questions, as well as a telephone advice line and on-site consultancy.
The service was developed in response to feedback from Pegasus’ customers. Research amongst UK finance directors, carried out by the software specialist, showed that 59% of FDs felt that dealing with HR and payroll issues takes up more time than it did two years ago. 55% of FDs spend more than 10% of their time dealing with such issues, with one in five spending more than 25% of their working week on HR challenges.

However many companies, especially smaller ones, do not have specialised HR resources to handle this burden. This is why we developed PegasusHR.”
