Real Asset management partners with QlikTech

Real Asset Management (RAM), the provider of fixed asset management software, has added the QlikView Business Discovery platform to its product portfolio. The move is designed to give RAM’s customers extended visibility of data about vital assets.  QlikView takes advantage of in-memory associative search technology which allows users to explore information freely rather than being confined to a predefined path of questions.

RAM analysed feedback received from existing and prospective customers and identified a requirement for a BI tool that could enhance KPI and Dashboard reporting. Karen Conneely, Group Commercial Manager at Real Asset Management, explains, “By adding QlikView to our product suite we now have a very sophisticated BI tool that integrates seamlessly with any asset management system and indeed any finance or ERP software solution on the market, giving businesses a very powerful and flexible analysis and reporting solution.”

John Campbell, Alliance Director UK and Ireland of QlikTech, adds: “Organisations are quite rightly demanding a faster return on investment from software purchases being made in today’s climate which QlikView provides through a rapid implementation period taking weeks as opposed to months. The ability to deliver self-service BI to users whilst freeing up valuable IT resource on tasks such as report writing and cube building is becoming ever more crucial. Real Asset Management can now enable its customers to consolidate relevant data from multiple sources into a single application whilst interacting with dynamic apps, dashboard and analytics to drive innovative decision making.”

Commenting on how the BI tool will enable businesses to analyse and explore their data with unprecedented freedom, Conneely adds, “The software will allow organisations to not only extract data from their existing asset management software but also compare running and maintenance costs of specific assets, a fundamental requirement when establishing true asset value.”
