UNIT4 Business Software, has announced the launch of new and extended user functionality to the latest version of its Dream unified ledger accounting software. The company says that this release simplifies the handling of a broad range of financial processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
UNIT 4 says the new release maximises the value of the user licence. For example, this version ensures that the finance team has control over who is logged in and visibility of what they are doing within the system as well as the ability to reserve connections for power users. It also extends the reach of the financial transaction – a single transaction spanning multiple companies introduces a new level to inter-company control.
There is also access to a new scripting tool allowing users to configure the system to meet their specific informational and reporting needs quickly and easily. A suite of improvements to the payments functions within Dream have broadened the capabilities to allow efficiencies in processing and accuracy in payments. These new features include the ability to create one-off suppliers.
Finally, UNIT4 Reporting has been introduced as a report designer which means that users can specify the reports they want whenever they require them, without the need for complex programming skills.
