International law firm Eversheds has invested in a self-service eSourcing platform from Wax Digital. The on-demand system allows Eversheds to run an unlimited number of electronic tender and auction events annually, with the potential to deliver very significant cost savings across a wide range of spend categories.
“We’re an innovative firm and we are always keen to explore ways in which we can maximise the effectiveness and minimise the cost of doing business. In Wax Digital we found a partner that could help us reduce our supply-chain costs with a market-leading mix of technology and consultancy expertise,” said Sian Williams, Senior Buyer, Eversheds.
“They worked with us to set up an initial eSourcing event focused on cleaning and security contracts, advising on suppliers, lot construction, bid decrements and all the other facets that go into making a successful event.
“The resulting auction reduced our cleaning costs across all ten of the UK offices and we also made significant savings in the six offices where we have responsibility for building security.
“Having worked with numerous platforms before, I felt that the Wax Digital platform was easy to use for both us as and the supplier. The platform is intuitive to create and manage supplier negotiations from end to end with excellent reporting functions to track the benefits delivered by the e-auctions. For this reason, we chose this platform to now enable us to build and run unlimited events ourselves. The team at Wax Digital proved their expertise giving us comfort that should we require additional assistance, the team are there to help.”
“We’re very pleased to have been able to help Eversheds to such a successful first event, with great savings even if you take the cost of the self-service platform into account” comments Paul Layzell,” Wax Digital Director of Sourcing.
