Luxury lingerie retailer, Rigby & Peller, has implemented Pegasus’ Opera 3 solution. The London-based lingerie company will use Opera 3 to support business transformation following its acquisition by Belgian public quoted company Van de Velde in 2011, through driving greater automation and accuracy in its finance department, and superior management information.
Following the acquisition, Rigby & Peller needed to adjust to the accounting demands of being part of a publicly quoted company, and as such, required a new accounting solution which would provide more rigour, accuracy and better reporting capabilities.
Having reviewed the market, the lingerie company selected Opera 3 based on its ability to download reports directly into Excel, a benefit which is already saving at least two days each month. Another key driver was the flexibility of Opera 3, which enables Rigby & Peller to customise the system to its exact needs, including synchronisation with its stock management software.
“Accurate, timely reporting, and the ability to source better management information, were the main drivers for our investment in new accounting software, and Opera 3 has delivered on both counts,” comments Amna Ijaz, Financial Controller, Rigby & Peller. “Because we now report to a greater number of stakeholders, we need systems which facilitate complete visibility and allow us to rapidly create and deliver reports upon request. With Opera 3, not only have we achieved this objective, but its flexibility enables us to tailor the system to our precise needs. It really is a great finance solution for retailers looking for best-in-class reporting and flexibility.
“I believe Opera 3 is the ideal solution for a growing company like Rigby and Peller, who need more flexibility and reporting features. This has allowed smarter decision making which will no doubt help our long term strategies,” Amna concludes.
Working with Pegasus Partner Quorum Business Systems, Rigby & Peller went live with Opera 3 in October 2011.
