In the first of a series of FSN Video Reports, Gary Simon, managing editor of FSN looks at the extensive features that Mamut has to offer users of Microsoft Office Accounting.
Last October Microsoft suddenly announced that it was no longer marketing Microsoft Office Accounting and arranged for Mamut, an international software house with more than 400,000 users in the UK to take over support. However, this has left many users of Microsoft Office Accounting with a dilemma for the medium to long term. In other words do you stay with Microsoft Office Accounting (which is unlikely to be developed further) or do you upgrade to Mamut – especially as Mamut has tabled a number of attractive offers.
In this first video Gary Simon introduces Mamut and provides a high level comparison of the products. Later videos take you through some of the detailed differences and for those that have made the decision to upgrade to Mamut will cover the upgrade process including the use of the automatic migration utility that Mamut have developed to quickly take your data across to their software.
