I had never thought of ERP software as being ‘racey’ before but this week I have been proven wrong. Infor the world’s number 3 ERP vendor has signed a multi-year agreement to become an Official Supplier to Scuderia Ferrari, the Formula One team.
Apparently the deal is about a shared vision of speed and quality between the ‘new’ Infor under Charles Phillips CEO of Infor whom I interviewed for FSN a couple of months ago at the Ferrari plant in Italy. “Our software helps Ferrari build great cars, including the Formula One cars. We’ve also worked with Ferrari to significantly expand production capacity in response to growing demand, without having to build a new plant.” he said.
Unfortunately, FSN’s budgets don’t run to sponsoring formula one cars. But heck – I love Italian food so look out for the FSN logo on bags of spaghetti.
