UNIT4 acquires MentecPlus

UNIT4 Business Software Ltd, the UK division of UNIT4, has acquired MentecPlus Integrated Solutions Ltd, sole distributor of Agresso Business World in Ireland since 1998. The acquisition also includes the IP for the M+ suite of products which are widely used throughout the UK & Ireland and internationally. The company will be renamed UNIT4 Business Software Ireland and will continue to sell and support both the Agresso Business World and Coda Financials product lines in Ireland.

Agresso Business World chosen to support water improvement initiative in Ethiopia

UNIT4, says it has secured a new contract with Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority to implement Agresso Business World, worth €3 million in software and services over two years.

Addis Ababa Water is responsible for maintaining and improving the water supply in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, and is undertaking an ambitious project to modernise the systems it has in place to achieve its objectives and better meet demand for clean drinking water. Sponsored by World Bank, the project involves implementation of new hardware, software and networks and Agresso was selected over competitive offerings from Oracle and Microsoft to manage finances and project planning.

Digita Accounts Production has made iXBRL history by being the first software solution to be used to generate and electronically file a set of iXBRL compliant audited accounts with Companies House. Companies House has confirmed that it received the first set of iXBRL compliant audited accounts in July and the accounts, submitted by Paul Winston Ltd, Chartered Accountants, Westcliff-on-Sea, were produced by the practice using Digita Accounts Production.
